This page contains our Terms and Conditions. By confirming your studio hire with us you automatically agree to the following. These terms and conditions apply to all bookings and we recommend that you familiarise yourself with them before confirming your booking. GENERAL
Confirmed Bookings: Only confirmed bookings will secure the studio for the requested dates. To confirm a booking, please ensure your requested date and bump in & out times have been emailed to our team and a confirmation email has been received in response. Upon confirmation of your booking, it is undertaken that these terms and conditions have been agreed to by the hirer. It is at the studio’s discretion as to whether they charge a deposit to secure the booking and any cancellations in this case must be made at least 48 hours before the booking date requested or the deposit will be forfeited.
Payment: The balance of payment is due upon conclusion of hire. Payment methods of credit card, eftpos and internet transfer are available.
Discounts: Any discounts offered by the studio are at the studio’s discretion and are exclusive and cannot be combined. In the case of special offers these must be requested at time of booking and will not automatically be applied.
Bond: A bond may be taken at confirmation of booking based on prior hire experience with the studio. This is at the studio’s discretion. If a bond is taken, it will be returned within 7 working days of the booking. Should any damage occur of which the cost to repair exceeds this amount then the hirer will be charged the difference.
Damage: Any damage to the studio or equipment should be noted to the studio’s administration upon arrival. Hirers are required to inspect the studio and equipment on arrival. The studio and equipment must be left in the same condition as it was found. A repainting fee or a bill for cleaning and damages may be applied. The Hirer is responsible for any breakages, loss or damage occasioned to the studio or any equipment caused by or arising from the Hirer use thereof, or by any servant, agent, employee or sub‐contractor of the Hirer.
Insurance: Hirers are required to hold their own current insurance policy for professional indemnity and public liability.
OH&S: Hirers are required to abide by all legal requirements, including but not limited to all appropriate Occupational Health and Safety rules and regulations as they conduct their work.
STUDIO HIRE
If the Hirer wishes to postpone a confirmed booking this must be done at least 48 hours before the hire period starts or 50% of the full studio‐booking rate will apply.
Bookings may only be extended with the prior consent of the studio and overtime rates will be applicable to hires that run over the booked time. The Hirer must ensure that bump in & bump out time takes place within the hours booked.
The Hirer agrees not to use the studio for purposes of explicit photography, pornographic material, inappropriate or illegal photography of minors, or the unethical treatment of animals and the studio reserves the right to inspect the studio while in use by the client and /or refuse usage on ethical grounds.
The studio is available for the exclusive use of the Hirer named in the booking and the Hirer is not permitted to sub‐contract, sub‐let or otherwise permit any third party to utilise the studio without the prior written consent of an authorised signatory of the studio.
Any materials used in connection with sets constructed by the Hirer, as well as any rubbish shall be removed from the studio at the end of the hire period at the expense of the Hirer.
No alterations, decorations or additions to the studio are permitted without the consent of the studio. At the end of the hire period the studio must be left in the same condition that it was found in at the start of the hire period. Should the Hirer fail to remove additional items, rubbish or in the event that any damage is found, the Hirer will be required to pay any costs incurred by the studio and may be refused hire in the future.
The studio is supplied clean at the start of the hire period and all costs of painting, repairing, and maintaining this state are payable by the Hirer. The Hirer, at the start of the hire period, must notify the studio if any aspect of the condition or decoration of the studio is unacceptable. If no such notification is given, the studio and decoration will be determined to be of an acceptable standard for use by the Hirer.
PAYMENT & ADDITIONAL CHARGES
Unless otherwise agreed in writing all transactions will be settled in agreement with the studio’s payment terms set out in the terms and conditions. Only authorised account holders may settle accounts within 7 days of the date of invoice. Prices may be varied from the standard rates and charges before booking, without notice to the Hirer.
Any due amount unpaid shall be liable to interest at the prescribed rate.
We do not store credit card information and we do not give customer information to third parties.
INDEMNITY
The Hirer shall at all times keep the studio indemnified against all actions, proceedings, costs, charges, claims, expenses and demands whatsoever which may be made or brought against.
AGREEMENT
By confirming your hire in the studio, you hereby acknowledge you have read and understood the terms and conditions outlined and agree to abide by them.
